NATURE & OUTDOORS COURSES

badger watching

Course length: Afternoon and evening  (small group numbers only)

An enigmatic creature of folk law and myths, A creature of the rambling dusk.

Fortunately the national badger cull has been dissolved and brock can continue to live peacefully. We have a number of setts in our immediate vicinity.

What we will do:

A discussion on the zoology of badgers

Discussion of tracks, trails and signs

Field walk to three main setts and their outliers

During the walk references will be made to above.

A wild badger viewing session will then take place. Sightings are not guaranteed, even from our own badger hut. However if not seen guests can freely return for their own viewing

Environmental support

Weekends.

There is no charge for this. Accommodation will be basic and we would ask for a contribution towards food, which will be prepared by the group.

These are volunteer weekends where guests help us to continue our work in preserving our natural wildlife.

guided walks

2-4 hours

We can arrange various local guided walks depending on what is required. They will normally be between 2-4 hours in length. All walks will use the services of our local guide.

river walks

Summer evenings water level/weather dependent adults only.

There are not many things more idyllic and spiritually calming, than walking down a tranquil tree lined stream as the dusk approaches on a calm, balmy summer evening.

This walk is undertaken on our local small river with our very experienced guide.
